Active Ingredients:Each Gingo B.Z. tablet contains 60 mg standardized extract of Ginkgo biloba, 20 mg Thiamin hydrochloride
( Vit. B1) and 7 mg Zinc sulphate.
Pharmacological Action: Ginkgo biloba is one of the most outstanding medicinal plants that has long been used to improve neurological dysfunction and memory loss. This plant potentially has anti inflammatory properties, improves perception (cognition) and enhances cerebral blood supply. Cognitive function improvement will be achieved due to blood supply enhancement and anti oxidant properties of this medicinal plant. Ginkgo biloba bestows its antioxidant and protective ischemic properties through its essential flavonoid content. This is going to be achieved via free radical trapping and lipid peroxidation inhibition. Lipid peroxidation is considered as a risk factor for vascular and tissue damage and also neural degeneration that may indeed lead to dementia( loss of cognitive function). On the other side, this plant triggers enhancement in cerebral blood supply and therefore prevents progression of dementia. Dementia reduces oxygen supply and glucose in nerve cells while elevating free radicals and lipid peroxidation rate via neural degeneration and neural transmission disorders.
Active ingredients of Ginkgo biloba that play role in dementia improvement exert their effect through neutrophil infiltration and lipid peroxidation reduction , blood circulation improvement, antagonization of Platelet Activating Factor ( PAF) and neuron metabolic changes. Many clinical trials have indicated positive effects of Ginkgo biloba in treatment of cognitive and perceptive deficit or neural dysfunction. Age associated reductions in cerebral blood flow have symptoms including amnesia, low concentration, weak perception, vertigo, fatigue, sleep disorders, tinnitus, anxiety, hearing loss and confusion.
Administration and Dosage: 1 to 2 tablets daily, at least for a period of 3 months.
Interactions:Concomitant administration with the following medications is forbidden:
