There are 10mg Calendula Officinalis extract and 60 mg Aesculus hippocastanum dried extract in 1 gram of Veinovital cream standardized based on 20 mg Aescin per gram (equal to 2% Aescin in cream). In this cream, in addition to Triterpene Saponin (Aescin), this cream includes effective elements of Flavonoids, Proanthocyanidins and Tannin.
pharmacological Action: Aesculus hippocastanum extract in Veinovital cream leads to increased sensitivity of veins to calcium chanels, decreased penetrability of damaged capillaries and increased contraction of veins and at the end leads to decreased edema.
Aescin in Aesculus hippocastanum has strong anti-inflammatory effect the same as glucocorticoids and meanwhile lacks inhibitory effects of immune system. Moreover, Flavonoids and Triterpenoids in calendula have anti-inflammatory and local edema effects. Moreover, carotenoids and tannins help recovery of ulcers and edema. The effective elements in this extract leads to recovery of blood circulation and strengthening of skin and blood vessels in spot. In clinical studies, concerning the little side effects of product, the reception of patient during the therapy with local products of Aesculus hippocastanum is diagnosed higher than compression stockings. While varicose veins are treated with methods such as laser and surgery, the high effect of varicosis treatment with simultaneous use of oral product (100 mg Aescin daily) and local (2% Aescin) and even local product alone have been proved in various clinical studies.
In a clinical study, 71 patients suffering from varicose veins used local products with 2% Aescin twice in a day (for 6 weeks) and above 85% reported its effect as good to average. In another study, considerable improvement was observed in varicosis treatment and its effects by simultaneous use of local and oral product during 8 weeks such as change of skin color (become blue), pain, edema, fatigue and heaviness of leg and wrist decreased 0.7 cm.
