PHARMACOLOGIC ACTIONS
Cynarchol has a cholagogue, choleretic , antioxidant , hepatoprotective , and lipid reducing effect. The reduction of cholesterol levels and hepatostimulating and bitter effect on the gastrointestinal tract has also been documented .
Because of antioxidant ingredients such as cynarin and chlorogenic acid in artichoke extract, it has antioxidant properties, so it can prevent from lipid oxidantion and peroxidation in hepatocells. As a result, this medicine control fatty liver.
Adjuvant to a low fat diet in the treatment of mild to moderate hyperlipidaemia, Liver and gallbladder disturbances, Digestive complaint such as feeling of fullness, flatulence.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Cynara scolymus extract : 450 mg (equivalent to 20 mg chlorogenic acid ) and 70 mg curcuma longa rhizome powder.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
1 to 2 tablets with meal , 3 times daily.
INTERACTIONS
There is no documented intractions.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Mild gastro – intestinal disturbances may occur in rare cases .
CONTRAINDICATIONS & PRECAUTIONS
Health risks or side effects following the proper administration of designated therapeutic dosages are not recorded . Patients with obstruction of the bile duct , known allergy to artichoke or other species of compositae should not take Cynarchol .
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
The product should not be used during pregnancy and lactation due to insufficient data.
