Description

PHARMACOLOGIC ACTIONS
Capsaicin, the most important active ingredient in capsicum, relieves pain by depleting substance p which is a neurotransmitter that transfers pain responses to the central nervous system.
Capsidin cream is an effective preparation in loss of pain because of its high skin absorbance.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Each 100g contains capsicum annuum extract equivalent to 50mg total capsaicinoids and significant amounts of vitamin C and carotenoids.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Apply a small amount of cream three to four times daily on the completely dried area , massage until it is absorbed (Intervals should be at least 6 hours.)
Note: Test before applying for allergic reaction.
After applications Do Not warm or take a hot shower for 3 hours.
The treatment period is 2 to 6 weeks, regular applications and completing the treatment period causes significant improvement.
Clean your hands immediately after using (unless treating hands) with a tissue, then wash them with water and soap. In the case of treating hands, clean and wash them after 30 minutes.
In the case of accidental transfer of the cream to the mucous membranes and eyes, rinse them thoroughly with plenty of water. Visit a doctor if necessary.
In the case of severe inflammation or burning, you can apply Calendula ointment or lidocaine gel, however normal effects lessen and disappear with repeated exposure to capsaicin.
INTERACTIONS
It is an OTC preparation and as a topical medication there is no intraction.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Burning, stinging and redness of skin are normal reaction of capsaicin and almost always lessen and disappear over a few days time with repeated application.
CONTRAINDICATIONS & PRECAUTIONS
Capsidin cream should not be applied to the eyes, mucous memberans and open wounds. It should not be taken by individuals allergic to capsicum. If worsening occurs or no improvement occurs after 7 days, stop using the product.
